Christian Elliott was an acclaimed cellist in high demand, celebrating great variety in his active musical life. His wide range of experience included performing as cello soloist, chamber & orchestral musician, ensemble director, improvisation, composition, and arranging.

In April 2025 Christian Elliott tragically died after a short, intense illness with ME/CFS.

 

Christian was a master musician — performing, arranging, leading, and composing with extraordinary sincerity and brilliance across every style and genre that came his way.

​

Knowing Christian, he would want something creative and meaningful to come from his death. Together with his wonderful parents, Denyse and Garry, we felt that a legacy project was the most fitting way to honour and commemorate him.

 

We are proud to introduce The Christian Elliott Legacy; a project to posthumously record and release a collection of Christian’s original compositions and arrangements.
